Creating Words is owned and operated by renowned writer and researcher, Harry Husted. Harry has been writing for nearly 20 years. Harry was born in Virginia, but raised in South New Jersey. He currently lives in NYC.
Harry started out as a journalist, but switched to poetry writing. Then he got a job as a jingle writer for Cabscott Production Company, where he wrote commercials for three years. The firm moved to another state. And since Harry could not relocate at the time, they released him of his duties. Harry then went to work on songwriting. While writing songs part time, he supported himself by working as an automotive mechanic, electrician, and plumber. Harry did this as a self-employed handyman or shop owner. Harry also worked at a car dealership for a few years.
In 1986, Harry went to trade school and learned computers and accounting. After graduating, he took a job as data entry operator for a short time. Then he switched and worked as an accountant for 5 years. During this time, he still wrote songs, poetry, and short stories. In fact, he claimed that Stephen King was his idol.
After working in IT for 16 years, Harry finally retired and began writing full time. Twenty years later and he still writes full-time. Harry is passionate about his writing. Right now, Harry is involved in two screenplays.
